The Rheumatology Department provides highly specialised, multidisciplinary care for patients with a wide range of autoimmune, inflammatory and musculoskeletal conditions. We deliver predominantly outpatient-based services for disorders including inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases and metabolic bone diseases, many of which can affect multiple organ systems and require coordinated specialist care.
Our experienced team comprises consultant rheumatologists, specialist nurses, pharmacists, occupational therapists, specialist physiotherapists, healthcare support workers (HCAs) and musculoskeletal ultrasonographers. Together, we provide personalised, patient-centred care and work closely with colleagues across several specialties, including orthopaedics, renal medicine, respiratory medicine, endocrinology, care of the elderly, gastroenterology and neurology, ensuring comprehensive management of even the most complex conditions.
