Wolverhampton staff were recognised for their outstanding commitment to improving cancer prevention at an awards ceremony.
The Black Country ICB Cancer Awards, held on 13 May, celebrate individuals and teams across health, local authority and voluntary sector organisations who are helping to improve cancer outcomes for people.
The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust’s Dermatology Clinical Nurse Specialist Team won the Team of the Year Award.
The award was given to the team because of its exceptional leadership, advanced clinical expertise, and unwavering dedication to improving patient care.
Ratanjit Assi, Advanced Clinical Practitioner Dermatology, said: “We were so thrilled to win this award.
“For many years, we have delivered highly successful Sun Awareness and Skin Cancer Awareness campaigns, engaging the community and promoting vital messages around early detection and skin protection.
“This year’s Skin Awareness Campaign was a particular highlight, significantly increasing understanding of skin cancer across the community.
“Through education, early detection initiatives and accessible support, the team has helped countless individuals seek timely assessment and treatment.”
The awards were hosted by the Black Country Integrated Care Board, supported by the West Midlands Cancer Alliance and Macmillan Cancer Support.
