Neurophysiology

Neurophysiology department focuses on diagnoses of neurological disorders of the brain, visual and peripheral nerves and muscles through a range of diagnostic tests such as Electroencephalography, Visual Evoked Potentials, Nerve Conduction Studies and Electromyography. The primary aim is to help with developing and implementing treatment plans for neurological conditions and/or management of already existing neurological conditions in patients of all ages, from infants to adults, providing state of the art diagnosis, care and support. Neurophysiology team works in collaboration with other specialties such as Neurology, GP, Surgeons, Paediatrics who refer patients to us.

How to access the service


A referral is required from a Consultant or General Practitioner, then an appointment letter is sent to the patient with all the important information about the test, time and location. The patient can get additional information by accessing our webpage and press the video links about relevant tests.

Note: Results for the test are not available immediately, it may take 1 or 2 weeks for the results to be ready, and they are then sent back to the referring doctor.
