2 June 2025
From helping on the wards to making packs for those recovering from heart surgery – hundreds of volunteers are working tirelessly to support patients and staff who use The Royal Wolverhampton’s NHS Trust’s services.
This year, Volunteers’ Week is from 2 till 8 June 2025, giving an opportunity to celebrate all their hard work and thank them for their invaluable contribution.
The Trust currently has 412 volunteers working across a number of areas within the hospital and community.
Administrative support in Dietetics, helping on the Beat Information Station and volunteering on inpatient wards and Outpatients are just a few of the different roles offered as part of the volunteering programme.
Andrew Rice, Head of Patient Voice, said: “The volunteers are the heartbeat of the Trust, their contribution to different services never goes unnoticed, and I can’t thank them all enough for their hard work and commitment.
“Coming into the hospital or one of our community venues can be daunting for our patients, so to be greeted or supported by one of our wonderful volunteers can mean so much.
