Our Maternity and Neonatal Services at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust provide comprehensive care for expectant parents and their newborns. We support families from pregnancy through to the early weeks of life, ensuring a safe and positive experience. Our dedicated team of midwives, doctors, and nurses prioritise the health and wellbeing of both mother and baby. We aim to deliver personalised care, promoting healthy pregnancies, safe births, and optimal neonatal outcomes. We’re here for you during pregnancy, labour, birth, and postnatal care.

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust’s Maternity and Neonatal Services are primarily based at New Cross Hospital, our main site. This is where the dedicated maternity unit, including labour wards, birthing suites, and postnatal care facilities, is located. The neonatal unit, providing specialised care for premature or unwell babies, is also situated within New Cross Hospital, ensuring seamless transition between maternity and neonatal services when needed.

Beyond the hospital, our services extend into the community. We offer antenatal clinics at various locations across Wolverhampton, making care more accessible for expectant mothers. These community clinics provide essential check-ups, advice, and support throughout pregnancy. We also conduct home visits for postnatal care, ensuring mothers and newborns receive ongoing support in the comfort of their own homes. This integrated approach, encompassing both hospital and community-based services, allows us to provide comprehensive and continuous care for families in the Wolverhampton area.

Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals, based primarily at New Cross Hospital and within the Wolverhampton community, will work with you to deliver high standards of care throughout your pregnancy journey with us. We support mums-to-be during all stages of their pregnancy – from their very first appointment through to labour and post-natal support.

Our aim is to offer you specialist support throughout and to keep you as informed as possible – so that you can make the very best care choices for you and your baby. We provide comprehensive care at New Cross Hospital and extend our services into the community through antenatal clinics and postnatal home visits.
