From 3 November, the Urgent Treatment Centre at Phoenix Health Centre, on Parkfield Road, Wolverhampton, will be closing two hours earlier. This means the opening hours will be 8am until 6pm, seven days a week. Outside of these hours you can access the Urgent Treatment Centre at New Cross Hospital, which is open 24/7, 365 days a year. Other services which are available to you include NHS 111 and your local pharmacist.

Orthotics

The Orthotics service provides devices called orthoses (also called braces and splints) to help prevent, correct, or accommodate a deformity and/or improve function. This can be due to an injury, a disorder, or the way our bodies change as we get older.

We are an ‘in house’ service directly employing our own NHS HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registered Orthotists.

Where we are based

The Orthotic Service provides both inpatient and outpatient services across New Cross Hospital, West Park Hospital, Cannock Chase Hospital, and the Gem Centre for Children. The Team also has links with community-based therapists.

How to access the service

The Orthotics service accepts referrals from your GP, or from one of our consultants, nursing colleagues, or allied health professionals.
