Our podiatry service treats and manages patients with long term chronic and acute foot disorders. Our team comprises Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) qualified Podiatrists, working alongside Foot Care Assistants, to provide excellent care.
From 3 November, the Urgent Treatment Centre at Phoenix Health Centre, on Parkfield Road, Wolverhampton, will be closing two hours earlier. This means the opening hours will be 8am until 6pm, seven days a week. Outside of these hours you can access the Urgent Treatment Centre at New Cross Hospital, which is open 24/7, 365 days a year. Other services which are available to you include NHS 111 and your local pharmacist.

Patient self-referral
If you live in Wolverhampton, you can directly refer to the Podiatry department without seeing a health care professional (e.g. your GP).
Please note the service does have some exclusions. We reserve the right to reject referrals in the following categories that do not meet the requirements:

If you are accepted for an assessment, ongoing care is dependent on your clinical condition. You may be discharged at any point following your initial consultation with a member of the team.
Home visits will only be offered if you fulfil one of the following criteria:
If in the clinician’s professional opinion, treatment is not suitable to be carried out in a home environment, you will be offered an appointment at a suitable clinic.
If you can leave the house for GP, hospital or other social appointments you will be expected to attend a clinic if your referral is accepted by the service.

If you are unable to complete this form yourself, you can contact the service via telephone on 01902 444044 between the hours of 10.30am – 12noon and 2pm – 3.30pm Monday to Friday and one of our call handing team will be happy to assist you.
