What we do

The endoscopy service delivers a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including ERCP, EUS (endoscopic ultrasound) and capsule endoscopy. The service performs more than 18,000 endoscopy procedures every year.

Our services cover a wide geographical area. We care for patients primarily from Wolverhampton and Cannock, but also from Dudley, Walsall, South Staffordshire peninsula and surrounding areas.

We are a regional training centre, teaching both medical and nursing staff and offering accredited courses on a number of different procedures.

The Beynon Centre was the first endoscopy unit in the country to start bowel cancer screening in 2006 and continues to be at the forefront of screening initiatives. For more information about bowel cancer screening visit the service page [add link].
