What we do
The Diabetes Team consists of doctors, nurses, dieticians, and podiatrists, who support and improve the health of people with diabetes and related conditions.
The team provides care, education and treatment for patients with diabetes, who are either in hospital, attending an outpatient clinic in our Diabetes Centre, or out in the community. They also provide care to urgent and emergency patients to help prevent them from being admitted to hospital.
Our diabetes wards are C15, C16 and C17 at New Cross Hospital. Diabetes patients have access to a diabetes helpline, specialist nurses and retinal screening.
