From 3 November, the Urgent Treatment Centre at Phoenix Health Centre, on Parkfield Road, Wolverhampton, will be closing two hours earlier. This means the opening hours will be 8am until 6pm, seven days a week. Outside of these hours you can access the Urgent Treatment Centre at New Cross Hospital, which is open 24/7, 365 days a year. Other services which are available to you include NHS 111 and your local pharmacist.

New ‘Feel Good Friday’ Clinics Launch in Walsall!

Feel Good Friday Clinics MDT

Older residents in Walsall now have a new reason to feel good with the launch of Feel Good Friday clinics—bringing joined-up health, social care, and wellbeing support directly into the community.

Developed by Walsall Together and the North Primary Care Network, the clinics are based at The Stan Ball Centre, a vibrant community hub already known for supporting health, wellbeing, social connection, and tackling loneliness. Its welcoming, familiar environment makes it the ideal place for older adults to access holistic, wraparound care. The pilot offers same-day Community Comprehensive Geriatric Assessments (CGA), delivered by a multidisciplinary team, so people can leave with a personalised plan tailored to their needs. Early feedback has been fantastic, with attendees praising the coordinated, person-centred support.

If successful, the model will be rolled out across all four Walsall locality neighbourhoods.
