The Trust’s PCN has been shortlisted under the category of ‘PCN of the Year’ and ‘Making an Impact in Primary Care’ in the national Primary Care Impact Awards.

The PCN, which has already been shortlisted for two other national awards this year, has made a number of improvements to the way patients access GP services. It has introduced GP and nurse-led clinics for asylum seekers and those without a registered home address across Wolverhampton as well as setting up a dedicated service dedicated to ensure patients receive high-quality personalised care within care homes.

Group Manager Rachael Brown said: “I’m extremely proud that our Primary Care Network has been recognised at a national level, for the third time this year.”

“This shortlisting news and recognition reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff within the PCN and the contribution they make to patient care across our PCNs nine GP surgeries.”

Winners will be announced as part of the virtual awards ceremony on 14 December.
