Who we are

Our staff

Our staff are at the heart of everything we do. Their kindness, dedication, and innovation are what makes the The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust (RWT) a great place to work and receive care.

With more than 11,000 staff working in our organisation, we are the largest employer in Wolverhampton. We are also one of the largest providers of healthcare in the West Midlands – covering acute, community, and primary care services.

Team RWT proudly represents the diverse communities of Wolverhampton and the surrounding Black Country areas. Our main site, New Cross Hospital, is at the heart of the city which has a population of around 264,000 people.

Our latest NHS Staff Survey results show a year-on-year improvement in a number of areas of measurement. Our staff feel that their voice counts, value the opportunities they have for flexible working, and feel that staff morale and engagement are good.
