Our recruitment process

We are an inclusive organisation to work and thrive in.

We want to ensure that we offer equal opportunities to those who are interested in a career with us, which means that we are strongly committed to our work on equality, diversity and inclusion.

Our recruitment process starts with an online application form.

We do not accept CVs, so please complete form as in as much detail as you can.

The application process

Our application form has several sections. Please try to complete these fully, however any questions that do not apply to you can be marked as “not applicable”.

We use a system called TRAC for our recruitment. This is where you will receive a lot of your communication from our recruitment team, so please ensure you provide an accurate and up to date email address and mobile phone number.

NHS pay scales

Across the NHS, roles are given ‘bands’ which relate to certain levels of pay.

You can find the most up-to-date pay scales on the NHS Employers website.

Equal opportunities

Information submitted in the employment monitoring form is used for reporting only.

Members of staff involved in your recruitment won’t be able to see this information.

This helps us to monitor how we offer equal opportunities employ staff from diverse backgrounds.

This will not be affect who is chosen for the job.

Supporting disabilities

People with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply for jobs with us, as we are committed to offering fair and equal employment opportunities.

We can make arrangements to support you with getting to your interview. Please let us know about any accessibility requirements you may have when you complete the form.

If you are offered a job

After your interview, if you have been chosen for the role, you will receive a call from the hiring manager with a provisional offer of employment. If you accept, we will send you a confirmation via email, including some documents that you will need to complete and return. The email will detail how to complete these forms and where they need to be sent to.

Your initial offer of employment will not become formal until all the relevant checks have been completed.

Before you start with us, we need to check your:

  • identity
  • right to work
  • references
  • qualifications and professional registration, if required

All new starters must have an occupational health check to ensure we are looking after your health and wellbeing, as well as allowing us to make any necessary arrangements to support you in your role.

Some roles, particularly those that involve contact with patients and members of the public, also require a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Next steps

Once you have received and accepted your formal offer, the hiring team will be in touch to make arrangements for you to start in post.

You will also be sent a link to our online candidate onboarding pack, so that you will have everything you need to get you ready for your first day in post with us.
