Uniforms

Most clinical roles at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust will require individuals to wear a uniform provided by the Trust. If this is you, a uniform form will be attached to your contract for you to complete.

All uniformed staff must wear the Trust uniform, which denotes their role when giving clinical care or undertaking administrative duties in a clinical setting (either in an acute or community setting).

You will be expected to wear a clean uniform daily in a presentable fashion. In addition, you should change into your uniform on arrival at work, and not wear your uniform in public places outside of the Trust such as supermarkets.

If you are not a clinical member of staff, or are not working in a clinical area, you won’t be expected to wear a uniform. However, there is a still a dress code. More information on the uniform and dress code for all staff can be found on the Trust Intranet, which you can access once you have started your role. If you’re unsure whether your role requires you to wear a uniform, please contact the Resourcing Team who will be able to assist.

When will I get my uniform?

If you are required to wear a uniform, your form for completion will be attached to your contract. This will be issued to you once all your checks have been completed and a start date arranged. You will need to print it out and take the completed form to the sewing room before your first day.
