The Trust is proud to have won a diverse range of awards. Some of these including awards from national bodies such as The Nursing Times and HSJ (Health Service Journal). We are also extremely thrilled to have achieved the top award for outstanding support to the Armed Forces community.
In addition we run internal awards for our hard-working staff including a monthly Exceeding Expectation Award, Long Service Awards and our annual staff celebration - The Royal Awards.

We are honoured to serve a diverse community of more than 450,000 people and are committed to improving the lives of the local community.
We recognise our staff and patients have a range of needs and identities and with this in mind, we have established a network of Employee Voice Groups which helps to address any cultural barriers and challenges. These include the LGBT group, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic group, Carers group and Disability and Long Term Conditions group.

Surrounding Attractions
Whilst Wolverhampton is a city, it's centrally located with some of the country most beautiful forests right on our doorstep. Cannock chase is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which offers ample opportunity for walks, bike rides and horse riding. If you're feeling brave, there's GO Ape and an adventure playground as well as stunning wildlife.

We have an in-house apprenticeship team who are committed to helping support our staff grown and develop. Our opportunities aren't just open to new starters in entry level positions, but existing staff who wish to undertake higher qualifications at under and post graduate levels.

Protecting the health and wellbeing of our staff is really important, especially in these uncertain times as we respond and deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. A 2020 Provident Study ranked Wolverhampton as the 'Best place to live in the UK' after receiving top marks in all categories. It is also a great place to commute to being centrally located to major roads including the M6, M54 and M5 along with many A roads. Wolverhampton is lucky enough not only to have good road links but excellent rail and even bus and tram options. The Trust offer discounted travel passes to help you save the pennies on getting to work.
Our Locations
We are one of the largest acute and community providers in the West Midlands having more than 850 beds on the New Cross site. We also have 56 rehabilitation beds at West Park Hospital, 54 beds at Cannock Chase Hospital, 20 community sites and nine GP surgeries. We are the largest employer in Wolverhampton, the Trust employs more than 11,000 staff, covering more than 350 different roles.
