“And what an amazing night it was! Firstly, I would like to thank God for his guidance and blessings throughout my career. I am truly humbled to receive this highly commended award.

“I want to express my sincere gratitude to my parents, wife Nadina, our three children and all my friends and family for their unwavering support. Your encouragement and love have been instrumental in my journey.

“I would also like to acknowledge RWT and my colleagues for recognising the work I do both within the NHS and outside. It is an honour to be part of such a dedicated organisation that prioritises people and their wellbeing.”

He added: “Winning this award during Black History Month is a complex and multifaceted experience. It's a source of pride, a call to action and a responsibility. It's a recognition of my accomplishments, a testament to the progress of the black community, and an inspiration for others. As I continue my journey, I am grateful for this honour and committed to using it to make a lasting difference.”
